Starting
Times
All Boarding House Park shows start at 7:30pm
(with the exception of the Banjo & Fiddle contest which starts at Noon).
Children's shows start Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 11:00AM
Parking
Ample public parking is available in the City Owned 1,000 car Joseph Downes
Sr. Parking Garage (also known as the John Street Parking Garage) at French
and John Streets, immediately across the street from the Park. Event parking
cost is $5 after 6PM. There are handicap parking spaces available on the
main level.
Seating
Bring your lawnchair or blanket. All shows
are general admission, so come early for the best location.
The front half of the park is reserved
for those with blankets or low sand chairs. From the middle of the park
back to the street, regular lawn chairs are allowed.
A Park Ranger will be available to make sure that seating is in the correct
areas.
For the best view and widest option for seating locations at our evening
concerts, you should plan to arrive around 6:00 PM for a 7:30 PM show.
Many visitors place their chairs or blankets in the park as early as 2:00
PM.
No tables allowed.
No video taping or audio taping is allowed.
There is generally plenty of room available for our morning children's
shows, so you can arrive any time prior to the 11:00 AM start of the show.
Handicap Access
Boarding House Park is a handicap accessible
facility. Handicap Parking is available on the first floor of the city-owned
Joseph Downes Sr. Parking Garage on John Street just across the street
from the Park.
Handicap accessibility to the Park is at
the corner of John and French Streets, the side closest to the parking
garage. From this side of the Park, the walkways toward the lower and
upper levels can be accessed.
Remember, admission to the Lowell Summer
Music Series is always general admission, that is, there are no reserved
seating locations.
Our best advice is to come early to find the best selection of viewing
locations.
If there is a special need or a question,
please contact one of the National Park Rangers on duty at the Park. We
strive to make all of our patrons comfortable
Restrooms
If you need a public restroom, you'll find
them at the corner of the Parking Garage (French and John Streets) closest
to the park, on the ground floor. They are maintained by Lowell National
Historical Park.
Most nights, Park staff will open additional restrooms at the Boott Cotton Mills Museum during intermission only. The Museum is located in the courtyard of the Boott Mills at the foot of John Street, just to the right of the Boarding House Park stage.
